It's Almost Here!!!

In just a couple of months, H&M will finally be opening its doors in the state of Florida!

I've only been waiting for this for years now, it's kind of an unhealthy (for my wallet). H&M will truly shift the balance in retail when it opens because it will force all the other clothing retailers to raise the bar on quality and lower prices and it may even scare companies like Forever 21 away. Oh well!

This will be the very first store H&M will be opening in Florida and I hear from an inside source that H&M will begin "aggressively opening stores in Florida, especially South Florida." That is music to my ears. Every time I visit Atlanta, Chicago, or New York the first store I go to is always H&M. You can find the chicest apparel at very low prices, which goes to show that you don't have to spend a fortune to look amazing.

Hollywood Will Never Be The Same

Yesterday we heard the unfortunate news of the passing of Farrah Fawcett and then a few hours later the world was shocked by the passing of the legendary King of Pop Michael Jackson.

I was literally at a lost for words yesterday because Farrah I thought would eventually through and beat this cancer thing, she was a Charlie's Angel! But she was really an angel right here on earth and she has definitely enriched all of our lives with her onscreen presence.

Then, we hear the news that Michael Jackson was rushed to the hospital because of cardiac arrest. Again, I thought with all that Michael has been through he could overcome this. But then reports of whether the CPR performed on him was successful or not started to get a little vague, that's when I knew the worst had happened. No matter what people think of him as a person, you CANNOT deny his power as an artist. Yes there were a lot of reports and allegations against him, but the lawyer in me stands by the fact that he was never proven guilty of anything. We have truly lost the most influential music legend in our time and my thoughts go out to his family.

Materialistic Mondays: Dolce & Gabbana Spring at Milan Fashion Week

What. A. Collection. I'm at a lost for words! I'll let Men.Style.Com speak for me.....

"Sparkling." How else was Stefano Gabbana going to describe his mood after a show that put on the glitz to a degree so OTT it bordered on the satirical? It had all the skin and shimmer, flesh and flash of a Vegas review—except it was men rather than showgirls up there on that stage. The peach in the fruit bowl was Jesus Luz, who emerged in a black silk tux shirt—and matching bathing suit. Given his designation as Madonna's innamorato, he looked appropriately insecure. The label's resident male, David Gandy, appeared anything but as he redefined twenty-first-century beefcake in a pair of severely truncated white trunks.

Domenico and Stefano recently mentioned that the Sicilian pinstripes-and-black suit signature can become a little oppressive for them. So they sensibly honored their heritage with a handful of sober classics, then cut loose with extravagant flights of gilded fancy, strewing crystals with fierce abandon all over jackets, jeans, and accessories. Anyone seeking some kind of fashion statement from the duo might take note of the chunky yet summer-weight knitwear, or the artful perforation of skins, or maybe even the resuscitation of the borsellino, known vernacularly—and mockingly—as the "murse." Otherwise, Dolce & Gabbana went hell-bent for glam, mixing day and night into a seamless 24 hours—and sending out a finale that was a nonpareil hymn to the beader's craft.

The Rach is Back!

Let the countdown begin: "The Rachel Zoe Project" returns to Bravo on Aug. 25.

So bananas!

Unfortunately, there were no other details about the second season in Entertainment Weekly, which reported the premiere date in its latest issue, featuring a photo spread of Zoe's must-haves.

Personally, we're looking forward to seeing Taylor vs. Brad Part 2. Because you just know that business hasn't been resolved.

Feels Like Home

Those of you who know me, know about my travels to Greece and how I fell in LOVE with the country. I can't wait to go back. Recently after years of debate, the Acropolis Museum has opened and it is absolutely gorgeous! I wish I was there to witness it. I went to the smaller one that was there at the time and saw most of the artifacts up close which is very exciting.

At the opening of the Acropolis Museum, Mr Papoulias said it was "time to heal the wounds" of the ancient temple. The new museum, opened five years behind schedule, houses sculptures from the golden age of Athens. Britain has repeatedly refused to return dozens of 2,500-year-old marble friezes housed in the British Museum. "Today the whole world can see the most important sculptures of the Parthenon assembled, but some are missing," said Mr Papoulias. "It's time to heal the wounds of the monument with the return of the marbles which belong to it." The sculptures, also known as the Elgin Marbles, originally decorated the Parthenon temple and have been in London since they were sold to the museum in 1817 by Lord Elgin. He had them removed from the temple when he was visiting Greece, then under the rule of the Ottoman Empire. The British Museum long argued that Greece had no proper place to put them - an argument the Greek government hopes the Acropolis Museum addresses. The opening ceremony was attended by heads of state and government and cultural envoys from about 30 countries, the UN and the EU.

There were no government officials from Britain, but the most senior British guest, Bonnie Greer, the deputy head of the board of trustees of the British Museum, said she believed more strongly than ever that the marbles should remain in London. She argued that in London they are displayed in an international cultural context. She said a loan was possible, but that would require Greece to acknowledge British ownership, something Greece refuses. The British Museum holds 75m of the original 160m of the frieze that ran round the inner core of the building.

'Act of barbarism'

Their reconstruction in the Acropolis Museum is based on several elements that remain in Athens, as well as copies of the marbles in London. The modern glass and concrete building, at the foot of the Acropolis, holds about 350 artifacts and sculptures from the golden age of Athens that were previously held in a small museum on top of the Acropolis. The £110m ($182m; 130m euros) structure, set out over three levels, also offers panoramic views of the stone citadel where they came from. The third floor features the reconstruction of the Parthenon Marbles. The copies are differentiated by their white color - because they are plaster casts, contrasting with the weathered marble of the originals. Museum director Prof Dimitris Pandermalis said the opening of the museum provides an opportunity to correct "an act of barbarism" in the sculptures' removal. "Tragic fate has forced them apart but their creators meant them to be together," he said. Bernard Tschumi, the building's US-based architect, said: "It is a beautiful space that shows the frieze itself as a narrative - even with the plaster copies of what is in the British Museum - in the context of the Parthenon itself."

A Beautiiful Woman Doing Beautiful Things

The actress and activist, who serves as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, spoke at the World Refugee Day commemoration in Washington, D.C. on Thursday. Expected guest Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had broken her elbow in an accident and could not attend. The Today Show's Ann Curry filled in to host the event for Anderson Cooper, who suffered flight problems. The ceremony's audience heard firsthand stories from refugees who have been relocated to the United States, and cheered via webcam along with students from a school in a Chad refugee camp. "They are the most impressive people I have ever met," Jolie said of the refugees, according to People.com.

Angelina Jolie on AC360 with Anderson Cooper

This is one of the reasons why the most beautiful in the world is number ONE on the Forbes 'Most Powerful Celebrity list this year!

Eclectic actress and gossip-column favorite dethrones media maven Oprah Winfrey atop this year's Celebrity 100. Jolie has always been able to attract tabloid attention and Oscar nods, but this year, she's finally figured out a way to make serious money. Her most recent blockbuster, Wanted, proved this mother of six's sweet spot is action films; the movie earned $340 million at the box office. Up next: Salt, in which Jolie plays a CIA officer accused of being a spy.

I Do!

Ok so I just saw The Proposal with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds (and the hilarious Betty White) and I must say it was amazing. Definitely comes in as one of my favorite comedies, I laughed hysterically from beginning to end. Also, it definitely gets top honors (right behind Sex and the City) in the fashion dept. You did me proud Sandy! Birkins, Louboutins, Prada, R.R., what more could a boy ask for?!

Sorry, I got a little ahead of myself. Phew.

Well then...I suggest everyone go out to see this movie asap, I can't give away the plot but I'm sure you will enjoy it and you will not be disappointed.

NYC Prep chronicles the lives of a group of privileged teenagers who are key players in Manhattan's elite high school scene. Students who travel in packs – whether it's on sophisticated vacations or to a townhouse for an exclusive midnight party, their lives intertwine as they network, shop, party, study, date and write college applications. Everyone's beautiful and everyone's connected.

On the surface, it seems that these teens live an enviable life. They have access and privilege to spare, and can't imagine that anything or anyone, will get in their way. Over the course of the series, we'll see them on the benefit circuit, viewers will get to know their families, their entourage (trainers, college application advisers, stylists) and their guys/girls of the moment. But privilege has its price. Despite their carefree lives, the pressure of lofty expectations can sometimes be too much for even the most confident teenagers.

I can't wait!

My Life Story Coming to a Screen Near You

That's right! Each and every scene of this amazing movie seems to be literally taken from my real life! Based on the books "Confessions of a Shopaholic" and "Shopaholic Takes Manhattan" by Sophie Kinsella. Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) is a 25 year old who lives with her best friend Suze (Krysten Ritter) in Suze's flat (paying her friend rent that is well below market value), in a trendy part of town. Rebecca has a very boring job writing for a financial magazine. She has a shopping addiction and her crap job doesn't pay enough. Her bills are piling up, so she tries cutting back (complete fiasco), then she tries making more money (another fiasco). Eventually, Becky discovers a story that she is truly invested in. Exposing the story gets the attention of a colleague that she hasn't quite figured out yet. Some drama ensues as she snags the guy, and she attempts to pay off her ever-growing debt. Expect it out June 23rd!

Save Our CEOs...and Me Too Please

Michael Moore
wants his money back. Actually, he wants your money back, if you lost any in the financial meltdown.

And though he knows that probably won't happen, the filmmaker at least wants to stick it to the people who took it.

The still untitled film, which opens Oct. 2, will zero in on the corporations and politicians he says caused the global financial crash.

Wall Street robber barons are Moore's new on-screen enemy.

"The movie is not going to be an economics lesson; it's going to be more like a vampire movie," the filmmaker jokes. "Instead of the main characters feasting on the blood of their victims, they feast on the money. And they never seem to get enough of it."

When the collapse walloped the country last September, Moore says he knew not only that it would matter to regular people, but also that the inherent decadence was ripe for his style of satire.

"If you go to see my movies, even if you don't agree with everything in the movies, you're going to have a good laugh," Moore says. "I want them to walk out at the end saying 'Wow, that was something!' And in this case, maybe they also walk out asking the ushers, 'Um, excuse me. Where are the pitchforks and torches?' "

Michael Moore I appllaud you, never afraid to go where no other filmmaker is willing/brave enough to go. Expose the injustices of our society in hopes for better.

The Hills is Fake?! WTF?!

Now that Lauren Conrad's no longer on "The Hills," she's wasting no time spilling the world's worst kept secret: The show's as fake as Heidi's breasts.

Conrad was on "The View" this morning, and when asked about Spencer Pratt's apology phone call to her in the season finale, she said she wasn't even on the other end of the line. I really think her book L.A. Candy is just a compilation of old scripts from the show.

In other breaking news: The sky is blue.

Good luck L.C. because now your career is going to go NOWHERE, look at what happened to Kristin C. and you see where she ran back to! Bye Lauren!

Imma Be...

Lovin' this song!

I know I know, it's the Black Eyed Peas but when I'm tired in the morning or in my car driving home from work this is the perfect song to get my mood up. Perfect for the summer.

Hope you like!

As if No One Saw This Coming.....

Out, that is. In the new issue of TV Aqui magazine, Ricky Martin makes some very peculiar statements about his sexuality. The most telling statement is when the singer says that "his heart could belong to a woman or a man." Hmm very interesting, I think you might just want to come on out of that closet Ricky, no one cares anymore.

Actually, it'll probably do positive things for your fan base! And let me give you a little PR advice on the house, you should have gave People magazine the exclusive (even the Spanish version) they probably would have ponied up more ca$h (if you even received any) and you would have gotten a much larger space on the cover with People airbrushers and stylists. I know you have 2 children now but there is NO excuse for that haircut and 5:00 8:00 shadow, I'm just saying. But when you do decide to come out, your fans and that People cover will be waiting, I know you divas love the spotlight. ;-)

Queen B is Back!

Yes ladies and gentlemen, Britney is coming back to North America for another round of touring. And in less than 24 hours I will be buying my tickets for her September 2nd show in Miami! Last time around I wasn't able to go but it's like she knew her certain favorite fan was missing so she had to come back so he could see her live!

This time around she's adding a few new songs, changing up the choreography on others and doing different remixes of songs currently in the show. I am so excited. My love for you never diminished Brit unlike some of your other 'fans' I always knew you'd make a strong comeback.

"Suck It!"

Picture Perfect: Nino Muñoz

Even before I stepped foot onto my first photo shoot I have always been interested in photography. So this blog will also include photographers whose portraits inspire me. A little while ago I stumbled upon an amazing photographer who did some very cool celeb portraits, Nino Muñoz.

Born in Chile and raised in Canada, Nino Muñoz relocated to New York in 1992 to begin his career in photography. His work was first published in British Vogue in 1999, a fashion story featuring long-time collaborator Gisele Bundchen. Commissions for Arena and Arena Homme Plus, Jalouse, The Face, V Magazine, In Style and the New York Times Magazine soon followed.

Nino is well known for bringing a warmth and vitality to both his celebrity portraiture and his fashion work. He has worked with Tom Cruise, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Cristina Ricci, Eva Longoria, Jennifer Lopez, Mary Louise Parker, Keira Knightley, Gwyneth Paltrow and many others.

I'm Searching for.......

......the perfect summer short. There are certain things that come along every now and then that I feel I can not live without in my wardrobe. I'm not really a shorts guy, but recently I feel I need to explore the power of showing some leg. And I know exactly what I want. I want a straight cut, not baggy and I want them to break few inches above my knee. I want a light summer-y color, white would be the best. Is that too much to ask for? I've searched high and low and I must admit I did find the perfect pair at Lacoste, but they were $95. Am I really THAT person who spends that much on shorts? I mean I have no problem spending money, but on shorts? That's not healthy. What is healthy is Smart Shorts.

NOT ONLY w
omen have their hot pants & skin-revealing sheer ensembles,
the boys hav
e their mid-thigh shorts, or fondly more known as Smart Shorts.
SMART shorts since they appear or MAKE you look smart, as though you're a adult still being sent to school or university. As opposed to what "geeks" normally would wear,
these still looks sci-fi geeky, tongue-in-cheek cute and shirly dandy.
Talk about WARDROBE MILEAGE in showing off
those thighs, breezing in through summer, and pairing (and then treading in)
these casual wonders with various uppers.
Less cargo pockets and just having two side ones,
these bring minimalism and ease to a whole new level.
It's just amazing how few inches up could
make a FRESH difference.

Like skinny jeans, you'll WANT these soon enough.

So healthy.

Really Lindsay?! Really?!

I try to hold out so much hope for those who I used to admire and it seems as if Lindsay gets NO better and there is no end in sight. It worked for Britney (as if you need a last name to know who I'm talking about), but Lindsay has gone from party girl... to rehab... to party girl.... back to rehab.... then a stint in lesbianism (phase? publicity-stunt?)....and the list goes on and on.....

Get it together girl, you're about to turn 23 it's time to get your career back and get out of the tabloids.

P.S. I need a new CD to dance to in my car ASAP. Thanks!

Just for old times sake.....

"It's Shell-Sea!"

I have a totally unhealthy obsession with Chelsea Handler, she is absolutely hilarious and doesn't give a damn about what anyone else thinks. Betty White made a very funny appearance on Chelsea Lately yesterday, perfection!

P.S. Chelsea's a hot bitch
